Marquis (Omari Hardwick), while flying his family from rural Appalachia to Appalachian for his father's funeral, becomes incapacitated during an intense storm while trying to control their plane and arrive safely at Ms. Eloise's (Loretta Devine) attic where Ms. Eloise claims she can heal him using "Boogity", an elaborate Hoodoo figure made out of his blood and skin created with dark magic from Ms. Eloise. Unable to call for help, Marquis desperately fights to free his family from her spell so she can use "Boogity" against her dark magic before the blood moon rises next time around!
