Ethan must visit a shrink as part of his parole agreement and share an apartment with Mia, 16, his legal guardian who lives with bad influencers such as doing drugs and dropping out of school. At night Ethan works as a rideshare driver until unjust reviews from passengers force him out of business altogether; Mia owes money to criminals whom she and her boyfriend owe money too; although Ethan offers Mia half the debt repayment plan but this still doesn't get rid of trouble for good.
